ORIGINAL BOX SCANS OF 'THE IMMORTAL' AND 'ZANY GOLF'

Adapted for Apple IIGS from Amiga & MS-DOS editions

It's pretty hard to buy the GS versions of these legendary games nowadays, whereas Amiga and MS-DOS versions are still relatively commonplace. So having no other option, let's embark on some cosmetic surgery...

** THE IMMORTAL (Electronic Arts) **

This is a scan of the original boxed Amiga version of "The Immortal" as sold in Europe/UK. The front cover appears quite similar to the Apple IIGS edition. Only the top flap (not scanned) has an Amiga version sticker. The manual is a one-size-fits-all variety, covering Apple IIGS, Amiga, and Atari ST platforms. The 3.5" Amiga disks have been redacted to remove Amiga references.

NB: The complete manual (Electronic Arts edition) may be downloaded here:-
http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/documentation/games/misc/immortal.pdf

The "Big Red Computer Club" edition (a slightly later reissue for Apple IIGS) is here:-

** ZANY GOLF (Electronic Arts) **

A scan of the MS-DOS original boxed "Zany Golf" which fortunately is identical to the Apple IIGS release (and even uses GS screenshots). Only there is a wraparound sticker which identifies it as being for "IBM". I have overlaid this with an Apple IIGS sticker (poached from "Skate or Die" by Electronic Arts). The computer requirements (RAM etc) are a bit fudged and are a best guess...

The 3.5" disk is an Amiga one, with Amiga references removed. The instruction leaflet is scanned from an Amiga original which is identical to the GS one. (A separate sheet with Amiga specific info has been omitted)
